There are a lot of good reasons to have your family reunion in a campground. When you start making your list of how many family members would be gathering, how far they would be traveling, and how much money they would have to spend, the breadth of those answers can be quite wide.
Most families span multiple generations which means there could be 70-80 years difference in age between the oldest and the youngest. Some might be local, some might drive from a neighboring community and others might fly from a distant state. This complicates things when you are planning hotel rooms for the group.
Campgrounds are perfect for your crew because, like ours, you can find a variety of site types. You may have RVers who can be happy in a full hookup site and you may have young people who love to stay in a tent. Small families with little children would do nicely in a cabin. If you have a favorite aunt who always travels in her teardrop there is just the right spot for her too.
Campgrounds offer swimming pools for the kids, and horseshoes for the elders. You can get everyone together for campfires at night and combine food and utensils for meals. These are the things that make a family reunion memorable. Having all of your family together, feeling comfortable, sharing memories, teasing each other, telling tall tales, and having their own private place to return to at night.
