The warm, sunny days of summer are fun and simple shorts and t-shirts are all that are needed for your adventures around the campground. Mornings and evenings can get cool, though, and so can overcast days. That’s why it’s always a good idea to pack warm clothes as well. You’ll want to be able to dress in layers, depending on when you’re camping, so you can add during the cool times and take off layers as the days gets warmer.
Some things you can bring to keep yourself comfy and cozy are hooded sweatshirts, warm socks, long pants or long johns for sleeping. You might like to have small flannel blankets for wrapping around your shoulders in the morning or covering the kids’ laps on movie night. You might even want to bring warm hats for everyone to wear. If you’re in a tent and the night cool’s down a hat can help keep you maintain your body temperature.
Crisp mornings are gorgeous and a wonderful way to begin your day when you’re dressed for the cool temp. You can sit around a dying campfire for much longer with your friends when your clothes are keeping you warm as well. So pack some cool weather gear for your camping trip and you’ll be ready for all a good camping trip has to offer.
We’re hoping you get plenty of cool camping mornings and warm afternoons this year and we look forward to seeing you around the campground.
